My growing toddler
Your growing toddler will want to climb, jump, explore and do lots of running. He loses his baby fat and is gradually transforming into a young child who talks, has lots of questions and ideas, and plenty of energy!

During the second year your toddler's body grows in length, loses its rather plump, podgy appearance, becomes firmer, stronger and more muscular, and starts to take on adult proportions. His balance and co-ordination will have improved and fine movements are mastered.

Your toddling child
When your baby first starts to toddle he will have very little control over his movements. However, by about 19 months he'll be able to walk backwards as well as forwards and may even have mastered running. Once he can run he'll be able to jump.
