Baby's 9th month of development
From here on in, you need to keep even more of an eye on your baby. At 9 months, as well as be able to crawl and thus move faster, she is regularly starting to stand while holding on and tries to reach objects that attract her attention.

If you put a horizontal bar on her crib, she will hold onto it and lift her body. She tries to play with two or three cubes and stacks them properly. She imitates sounds and is starting to say “Daddy” and “Mummy”.
Her digestive system is increasingly efficient and she can eat more solid foods now like biscuits. This is a good time to introduce egg yolk and fish into her diet.
Baby’s development
- She plays tricks and tries to charm.
- She throws her toys on the floor, just to watch them fall and hear the noise they make.
- She understands the meaning of certain words or orders.
- She is starting to crawl and pulls herself up to stand using furniture or people.
Your participation
- Explain everything you do, whether it's bath or mealtime.
- Give her different coloured and sized cubes so she can stack them.
- Stimulate her language by naming each toy but in their corresponding context.
- Apart from toys, give her pots, saucepans and all sorts of different containers which she can fill, empty, stack, etc...
