First aid kit
A home first aid kit is a must for any family and particularly those with children. Life is vere adventurous as far as children are concerned, so you need to be ready deal with accidents that will invariably happen in the normal scheme of things.

- Sterile gauze squares in various sizes for cleaning wounds
- A box of adhesive dressings in various sizes
- Sterile dressings with bandages attached in various sizes
- Small and large roller bandages such as conforming or crepe bandages
- A roll of 2.5cm (1in) hypoallergenic adhesive tape
- A sterile eye pad with bandage attached
- 2 triangular bandages
- Safety pins
- Blunt-ended tweezers
- Blunt-ended scissors
- Disposable gloves
- Face shield for rescue breathing
- Antiseptic cream
- Calamine lotion
Other useful items
- Junior paracetamol or ibuprofen syrup
- Insect repellent
- Antihistamine syrup
- Sunscreen with the highest protection factor
- Digital thermometer
